Ecological Pool
Our ecological (biological) pool is 100% free of chemicals. It’s a vibrant ecosystem composed of plants, rocks and even some species of fish and freshwater snails. That, plus an aeration system + biochar, filter the pool naturally. It’s good for your skin, the environment, and our agroecological project too, since it attracts lots of birds, insects and pollinators.
Please Be Advised: This is a living, natural water system. As such, water quality can be affected by environmental conditions like prolonged warm weather or significant rainfall. To ensure the well-being of both our guests and the ecosystem, the pool may occasionally be closed for swimming. We appreciate your understanding.
Meals
We’ll provide you with all the necessary contacts to order delivery, takeout or dine-in, according to your preferences. It’s a great way to experiment with our local dining establishments, and support other community businesses. Local grocery shopping excursions available ($) for guests staying 7 nights or longer.
Housekeeping
An end-of-stay cleaning fee is included with each nightly booking: Weekly bookings, include an additional mid-week clean (total 2). Monthly stays, include twice weekly cleans (total 8).
Additional housekeeping can be scheduled for $10.00 USD per room, payable directly to your housekeeper. Laundry services can be contracted directly with housekeeping staff.
Garden
Fellow gardeners, plant aficionados, and those who just love all things green: you’re going to love our tropical gardens. We have coconut trees, Amazon cherry and more planted in public areas of our block for anyone who wants to indulge, ivy-covered walls, palms, succulents, jasmine and aromatic plants scattered around, floating lettuce trays, and lots of edible things growing in our adjacent agroecological permaculture project.
Catering Services
With advance notice, a catering team can be contracted to provide on-site food and beverage preparation or food delivery services for your stay. Associated costs vary depending on the chosen level of service/ingredients required. Please consult El Mirador de Marbella’s suggested Eating & Drinking in Havana contact list if interested.
Wifi
The house has a free wifi hotspot with 24/7 Nauta Plus coverage. For local data packages, check out Cubacel Tur; order your SIM card (s) in advance and pick up during working hours at designated local ETECSA outlets in Cuba. TV, cable or streaming services are not provided, so we recommend bringing your own devices as needed or wanted.
